FAW-Volkswagen to Recall 283 Imported Audi E-TRON GT Series Cars in 2024

TapTechNews August 16th news, TapTechNews learned from the State Administration for Market Regulation that recently, FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. in accordance with the requirements of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products and the Implementation Measures of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products, filed a recall plan with the State Administration for Market Regulation. It was decided to recall some imported Audi E-TRON GT series cars produced from July 26, 2022 to November 23, 2023, a total of 283 vehicles, starting from August 31, 2024.

In the vehicles within the scope of this recall, due to design reasons, the front brake hose may have cracks that lead to brake fluid leakage, resulting in reduced braking efficiency, longer braking distance, and increasing the risk of vehicle collision, presenting a potential safety hazard.

FAW-Volkswagen Automobile Co., Ltd. will entrust Audi authorized dealers to replace the front brake hose and bracket optimized for free for the vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate potential safety hazards.
