According to the introduction, Cainiao plans to customize international express solutions for small and medium-sized overseas merchants by strengthening the construction of the local service team, claiming that up to 5-10% of the logistics cost can be saved.

The Cainiao International Express team will adopt the merchant center with localized operation to provide customized logistics services for local small and medium-sized merchants, such as one-click settlement of merchants, multi-ERP system docking, and the economic Apparel Special Line, etc.. Regarding the problem of on-site pickup, Cainiao's one item pickup claims to be able to cover more than 100 cities across the country, and there is no minimum pickup order quantity limit.

TapTechNews learned from public information that in the 2023 fiscal year, the total number of cross-border parcels handled by Cainiao exceeded 1.5 billion, serving including 133 million cross-border consumers and over 100,000 merchants and brands. As shown in the 2024 fiscal year report released by Alibaba Group, as of March 31 of the 2024 fiscal year, in the field of international logistics, Cainiao's daily cross-border parcel volume has exceeded 5 million pieces.
