Tesla to Produce 'Specially Made Version' of Cybertruck for China and EU

TapTechNews June 14th news, at today's 2024 Tesla shareholder meeting, Elon Musk said that Tesla must produce Cybertruck 'pecially Made Version' models that comply with the standards of China and the European Union, and then they can be exported.

Elon Musk revealed that the 'pecially Made Version' models launched for the above regions may compromise certain features (will compromise certain features) and is not a 'top priority'. However, 'No matter where Cybertruck goes, it will receive an amazing welcome.'

As early as the beginning of this year in January, Elon Musk has already said that it would be 'very difficult' for Cybertruck to legally drive on the roads in China.

Cybertruck's rear-wheel drive version starts at $60,990 (about 443,000 yuan currently), with a range of 402 kilometers, a 0-60 mph acceleration of 6.7 seconds, and a top speed of 112 mph. This version will be launched in 2025.

The all-wheel drive Cybertruck sells for $79,990 (about 581,000 yuan currently), with a range of 547 kilometers, and using the range extender pack can increase the range to more than 755 kilometers. The zero to 60 mph acceleration is 4.3 seconds, and the top speed is 112 mph. It will be launched this year.

In addition, Tesla also launched a $99,990 (about 726,000 yuan currently) beast version with a range of 515 kilometers and can increase to more than 705 kilometers using the extender pack. The 0-60 mph acceleration is 2.7 seconds, and the maximum speed is 130 mph. It also will be launched this year.
