WeChat Pay HK Expands Mainland Transportation Scenes

TapTechNews June 27 news, Tencent's public relations director Zhang Jun said that WeChat Pay HK further expanded the mainland transportation scene yesterday and achieved full coverage of the public transportation networks in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Shenzhen.

According to the introduction, the newly added cities include Beijing, Huizhou, Jiangmen, Qingyuan, Shaoguan, Heyuan, Shantou, Shanwei, Jieyang, Lijiang, Quanzhou, Ningbo, Suzhou, etc., and currently 30 cities support scanning code for riding.

According to the introduction, users can choose to open the bus or subway ride codes of the corresponding cities through the Cross-border Travel zone of WeChat Pay HK to scan the code and ride conveniently without queuing to buy tickets, and the fare will be settled at a preferential exchange rate.

TapTechNews note: Users can register WeChat or WeChat through a Hong Kong mobile phone number, and open WeChat Pay HK by enabling the Hong Kong dollar wallet (WeChatPayHK) to make payments at tens of millions of merchants in the mainland through the wallet balance, bound Hong Kong credit card or bank account.

It is worth mentioning that WeChat Pay HK also simultaneously launched a Mainland Ride Preferential Activity, users can claim the mainland transportation ride coupons before customs clearance. In the Cross-border Travel zone, users can also conveniently choose to travel by cross-border transportation methods such as high-speed rail, bus, ferry, etc.
