TapTechNews reports on May 11 that Zhou Jinkai, Deputy General Manager of SAIC-GM-Wuling's Brand Division, has unveiled official exterior images of Baojun's return to the mainstream SUV market—the Baojun Yunhai. The model has also just appeared on the latest registration list from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT).
According to MIIT's registration details, the new model is available in two variants: pure electric and plug-in hybrid. It showcases a more dynamic and sharp design compared to the previously released Baojun Yun Cloud model. The dimensions of the new vehicle are 4541mm (length), 1880mm (width), 1608mm (height) with a wheelbase of 2750mm.
In terms of power, the Baojun Yunhai features a plug-in hybrid system that incorporates a 1.5L engine and an electric motor, with the 1.5L engine generating a maximum power of 78kW.
