TapTechNews June 10th, according to Xinhua News Agency, the State Grid Smart EV Grid Platform predicted that the average daily charging times on expressways during the Dragon Boat Festival holiday will exceed 150,000, an increase of more than 30% compared to the same period last year.

In order to ensure the safety and reliability of charging during the festival travel, the State Grid, through big data analysis and in combination with the characteristics of holiday travel, selected more than 6800 busy charging stations and completed special patrol inspections before the festival to ensure that the charging equipment is in the best condition, and also released a high-speed travel service guide before the festival to provide car owners with road condition predictions and information on available charging stations around the expressways to help car owners rationally arrange their travels.

Shi Shuanglong, the director of the Monitoring Center of State Grid Smart EV Grid Technology Co., Ltd., introduced that in response to the peak charging during the Dragon Boat Festival travel, the State Grid has added mobile charging devices as needed at key stations such as expressways, equipped with emergency charging cards, and increased guiding and informing information, and arranged special personnel to guide short-term charging during peak hours of electric vehicle charging during the holiday and let them charge and go. At the same time, 15,000 charging coupons are distributed daily through the e-charging App to guide car owners to charge at the urban charging stations near the expressway entrances and exits with technical and economic means to ease the charging pressure at the expressway service areas and reduce the waiting time of car owners and improve the travel experience of car owners.
