TapTechNews May 30th news, it is reported that Universal Pictures is collaborating with Square Enix to produce a movie based on the Avalanche Studios' open-world game series Just Cause.
The Hollywood Reporter said that this live-action movie will be directed by Angel Manuel Soto, the director of Blue Beetle. Story details or release dates have not been disclosed.
It is also reported that the Just Cause movie has been in production for some time. The news that an adaptation was in the works first came out in 2009, but there was hardly any new news in the following years. Jason Momoa, the star of Aquaman, was once attached to the project, but it is not clear who will star at this stage.
The Just Cause game has currently launched four orthodox titles. The series is known for its huge open-world map and explosive combat scenes. The protagonist, as an agent, has parachutes, grappling hooks, gliders and other props, and holds various weapons to bomb wildly, and is also jokingly called by players as excessive defense or initiating trouble actively.
