Tencent and GAC Group Deepen Strategic Cooperation

According to TapTechNews on June 14, on June 13, the strategic cooperation between Tencent and GAC Group was comprehensively upgraded. The two sides will jointly build the next-generation hybrid cloud infrastructure, which will be used in the fields of intelligent driving, intelligent cockpit, enterprise digital intelligence, and overseas expansion of GAC Group.

Based on Tencent's cloud computing and light map capabilities, the two sides will jointly create an 'end-cloud integrated' autonomous driving light map solution, exploring the innovative mode of 'ehicle-map-cloud integration'.

The two sides will also jointly build the large model base of GAC Group, creating an enterprise-level AI development platform to support the application of large model technology in intelligent marketing, intelligent cockpit, intelligent customer service, autonomous driving and other fields.

In addition, in terms of intelligent cockpit and the travel service platform 'Ruqi Travel', the cooperation between the two sides will continue to deepen.

TapTechNews noted that as early as 2017, GAC Group and Tencent Group reached a strategic cooperation; in October 2019, the in-car version of WeChat was the first to be installed on GAC Trumpchi G54; in 2019, GAC, Tencent and others jointly invested in 'Ruqi Travel' and went into operation online; in 2024, Tencent helped GAC Aion quickly deploy digital infrastructure for the Southeast Asian market and completed the vehicle networking mass production in Thailand within 3 months.
