Volvo to Unveil All-New XC90 with Hybrid System on September 4th

This officially claimed "completely new" XC90 is expected to incorporate some design elements of the pure electric version EX90, emphasizing more on the characteristics of electrification.

The official preview shows that the hood of the all-new XC90 is more sculptural, and the front headlights follow the brand's signature "Thor's Hammer" design, but no more detailed information is disclosed.

TapTechNews note: The currently on-sale Volvo XC90 made its first appearance in 2014 and the mid-term facelift model was released in 2019.

Volvo also announced that on September 4th at the "90/90 Day" launch event, the EX90 and the all-new XC90 will appear together, and there will also be "one or two surprises".

Volvo's global sales in July were 57,447 units, an increase of 6% year-on-year; the total sales from January to July were 445,520 units, an increase of 13% year-on-year. In the Chinese market, the monthly sales were 9,775 units, a decrease of 31% year-on-year.

The Volvo EX90 was already released as early as 2022. According to the product plan, the car will start delivery this year. It is reported that the brand will introduce at least one pure electric vehicle every year in the future.
