XPeng Motors' New Moves Entering Hong Kong and France Markets

TapTechNews May 17th news, XPeng Motors announced today that both the coupe SUV model G6 and the MPV model X9 will land in the Hong Kong market in the second half of this year. The 'one-for-one' intended price of G6 starts from HK$299,900 (TapTechNews note: currently about RMB 277,000), and the intended pre-tax price of X9 is within HK$500,000 (currently about RMB 463,000).

According to the introduction, the batch of new cars that will be launched soon will be equipped with a new-generation voice control system that can recognize Cantonese.

Also recently, XPeng Motors announced its entry into the French market. The 2024 XPeng G9 has a price range of 59,990 to 73,990 euros in France (TapTechNews note: currently about RMB 471,000 to 581,000), and it is planned to start delivery in July this year. At the event on the same day, XPeng Motors also exhibited XPeng G6 and plans to go on sale in France next month.

On April 10 this year, XPeng Motors announced the expansion of its business scope in cooperation with the dealer of Sime Darby Motors in Hong Kong, China. XPeng Motors will provide the latest smart electric vehicles for consumers in the Hong Kong market, as well as including brand showrooms, after-sales support and comprehensive guidance throughout all stages of the purchase process. Delivery is expected to start in the third quarter of this year; it is planned to open an XPeng Motors flagship store in Hong Kong in the third quarter.

In the Macau market, according to the plan, left-hand drive models are expected to be delivered locally this month, including G9/X9/G6/P7i, etc.
