Exclusive China Film Partners with CCTV for 2024 Paris Olympics Theater Distribution

Distribution Company on July 13th, Beijing Film Distribution Branch of China Film Co., Ltd. has reached an exclusive cooperation with China Central Radio and Television Network Co., Ltd. on the TV programs of the 2024 Paris Olympics of China Central Radio and Television Station in the mainland of the People's Republic of China (excluding Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Macau Special Administrative Region and Taiwan Region) for the distribution and screening in theater chains.
In this theater distribution and screening of the TV programs of the Paris Olympics, a reservation viewing service for the real-time live broadcast of exciting events of the China Central Radio and Television Station will be provided to some theaters across the country through the China Film reservation screening platform.
China Film Distribution Company stated that theaters without authorization from China Film Distribution shall not broadcast the TV program content of the 2024 Paris Olympics of the China Central Radio and Television Station in any form, otherwise it will be an infringement act, and the relevant copyright parties will jointly pursue the legal responsibility of the infringing entity.
As of the TapTechNews article, China Film has not yet announced the specific list of theaters that can watch the live broadcast of the 2024 Paris Olympics. According to the Shanghai local media Xinwen Chenbao, which theaters in Shanghai can live broadcast the Olympics, the ticket price and which events to be screened are all determined by China Film and the Olympic Committee.
The 2024 Paris Olympics, namely the 33rd Summer Olympic Games, is an international Olympic event held by Paris, France. This Olympic Games will open on local time July 26, 2024 and close on August 11. The competitions of some events will start first on July 24, and there are 32 major events and 329 minor events in total.
