Google Tests New ChromeOS Feature, Introducing Immersive Spatial Audio for Users

TapTechNews, May 11 - According to the latest proposal code, Google plans to introduce Spatial Audio to the ChromeOS system, providing an immersive auditory experience for users on Chromebook devices.

Users can enable an experimental flag in ChromeOS, then access the audio settings page to see a new option:

Toggle to enable spatial audio

Makes supported content sound more immersive

TapTechNews note: Google is perfecting this feature, which currently does not work even after the experimental flag is enabled. International media speculate that this function is designed to simulate surround sound experiences with either wired or wireless headphones.
