Wu Guanghui said: We thank the support of the people across the country. From another perspective, this also shows that the C919 large passenger aircraft has been welcomed after its appearance.

As TapTechNews understands, the C919 large passenger aircraft is China's first jet trunk airliner independently developed in accordance with international airworthiness standards and with independent intellectual property rights. It has 158 to 192 seats and a range of 4075 to 5555 kilometers. It achieved the world's first delivery in December 2022 and completed its first commercial flight in May 2023. Up to now, COMAC has delivered 9 C919s to customers, covering China's three major airlines such as China Eastern Airlines, Air China, and China Southern Airlines, and has accumulated about 10,000 hours of safe operation.

Wu Guanghui said that technologies such as 5G and artificial intelligence have promoted the rapid manufacturing of the C919 large passenger aircraft.

Wu Guanghui also mentioned that China is still the largest aviation market in the world. In the next 20 years, the world will need more than 40,000 aircraft, of which China's demand will exceed 9000.

In addition, the low-altitude economy based on traditional general aviation and new unmanned aerial vehicle industries is booming in China. Wu Guanghui believes that large aircraft and the low-altitude economy can develop in coordination. The development of the low-altitude economy provides the foundation and industrial ecosystem for large aircraft, and the development of large aircraft also brings opportunities and traction to the low-altitude economy.
