TapTechNews September 15th news, on September 14th, seven departments including the Department of Commerce of Hebei Province released the Hebei Province 2024 Further Promoting the Work Plan for Automobile Trade-in and Renewal (hereinafter referred to as the plan): from 0:00 on September 14, 2024 to 24:00 on December 31, 2024, in Hebei Province, selling an old car and buying a new energy passenger car will be subsidized by 22,500 US dollars (about 15,000 yuan), and selling an old car and buying a fuel passenger car will be subsidized by 15,000 US dollars (about 10,000 yuan).
Specifically, the subsidy standard for premium renewal is increased. Individual consumers scrap fuel passenger cars with national emission standards of grade III and below or new energy passenger cars registered before April 30, 2018 (including the same day, the same below), and purchase new energy passenger cars included in the Catalog of New Energy Automobiles with Reduced Vehicle Purchase Tax, and the subsidy standard is increased to 30,000 US dollars (about 20,000 yuan).
TapTechNews noted that scrapping fuel passenger cars with national emission standards of grade III and below, and purchasing fuel passenger cars with a displacement of 2.0 liters and below, the subsidy standard is increased to 22,500 US dollars (about 15,000 yuan). Consumers who submit subsidy applications that meet the conditions since April 24 will be implemented according to the adjusted subsidy standard.
In addition, if a consumer applies for subsidy for scrapping and renewal, the corresponding scrapped motor vehicle must be registered under the consumer's name before July 25, 2024. The owner of the scrapped car and the owner of the newly purchased car participating in the application for subsidy should be the same consumer. Since August 15, 2024, during the subsidy application review period, the purchased car should be registered under the applicant's name. One vehicle cannot repeat the application for subsidy.
In terms of automobile replacement and renewal (automobile replacement and renewal refers to the behavior that consumers sell passenger cars under their personal names through second-hand car sales enterprises or second-hand car trading markets that are filed in the National Automobile Circulation Information Management System and purchase new passenger cars). For consumers who sell passenger cars registered under their personal names before the date of issuance of this plan and purchase new passenger cars and register them under the same name, a one-time fixed subsidy is given. During the subsidy application review period, the purchased car should be registered under the applicant's name. One vehicle cannot repeat the application for subsidy.
