Nintendo Fans Create Unofficial PC Port of Zelda Majora's Mask, Support for Controllers and Mods

TapTechNews May 12 news, Nintendo released the famous game The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask for the N64 platform in 2000. Currently, fans have created an unofficial PC port version for this game.

It is reported that this PC version includes many adaptation features, such as support for running at 60 frames per second, auto-save, ultra-wide screen resolution, mods, peripheral sensors, etc. It also supports Linux and SteamDeck platforms, and developers plan to add ray tracing support to the project in the future.

Players can package a runnable version by themselves through a script called Zelda64: Recompiled. The script requires players to input their legitimate source N64ROM (North American version) for The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask, and it will extract the game and generate a native PC version.

In addition, this ported version fully supports DualShock4, DualSense, SwitchPro, Xbox, and other controllers, and is said to have been optimized to minimize input latency as much as possible, claiming to make the game feel more responsive than ever before.

Also, according to TapTechNews's previous report, in addition to Majora's Mask, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has also been perfectly adapted to the PC platform.
