The game is a sequel to the 1982 film of the same name 'The Thing', and the protagonist is Captain Blake: he is a member of the US Special Forces and is ordered to go to the Antarctic outpost in the film to investigate the encounter of the research team, and the story unfolds from here.

The basic gameplay method of 'The Thing' is no different from that of a traditional third-person shooter game; the protagonist Blake can jog and shoot, crouch, interact with the surrounding environmental facilities, interact with the team members and use other military supplies, such as a flashlight.
