Chinese Automakers Back National Standard for Extreme Vehicle Testing

TapTechNews June 29th news, the official WeChat account of Hongmeng Zhixing announced this morning that the AITO M9, the new AITO M7 Ultra, and the Zhijie S7 have recently participated in the summer test of the China Automobile Technology and Research Center, and various tests are nearing the end, and the test results will be announced successively.

On June 13th, the Startup Meeting of the Construction and Application Working Group of the Automobile Extreme Test Evaluation Standard System was successfully held in Turpan, Xinjiang. At the same time, the China Automobile Summer Test was announced to be executed to truly restore the summer high-temperature vehicle usage scenario, providing consumers with more authoritative and accurate automotive evaluation references.

Subsequently, Hongmeng Zhixing, Jiangqi Group, BAIC Group, AITO Automobile, Chery Automobile all publicly voiced their support for the establishment of the national standard system for extreme automotive testing.

According to TapTechNews' previous report, at the end of 2023, the controversial event of the Winter Test of Dongchedi sparked heated discussions across the whole network, and including Huawei, Great Wall Motors, and Geely all expressed doubts about the test standard. Dr. Wang Yao, the assistant secretary-general of the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and the head of the Technology Department, said that the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers is cooperating with industry enterprises and professional testing institutions to jointly formulate new energy vehicle evaluation standards and plans to release them in the form of association group standards.
