C919 of China Eastern Airlines Opens New Route from Shanghai to Guangzhou

TapTechNews June 12th, according to CCTV News, on June 14th (this Friday), the C919 model of China Eastern Airlines will open the fourth regular commercial route - Shanghai Hongqiao to and from Guangzhou Baiyun, and will operate flight MU5309 on that day.

Guangzhou Baiyun (MU5316): Departure time 13:30, expected to arrive at Shanghai Hongqiao Airport at 16:00.

China Eastern Airlines said that the Shanghai-Guangzhou route is an important boutique express line of China Eastern Airlines, and the flight volume of China Eastern Airlines on this route reaches 36 flights (round-trip) every day. China Eastern Airlines is currently the only airline operating the domestic large aircraft C919. The C919 fleet has reached 6 aircraft, and the aircraft has already operated on the Shanghai Hongqiao-Beijing Daxing, Shanghai Hongqiao-Chengdu Tianfu, and Shanghai Hongqiao-Xi'an Xianyang routes.

On May 28 this year, C919 ushered in the first anniversary of commercial operation. The data shows that in the past year, the C919 aircraft has cumulatively executed more than 2100 flights, safely operated for more than 6000 hours; transported nearly 300,000 passengers, and the average seat occupancy rate is close to 80%, exceeding that of other models on the same route, initially achieving commercial operational success. The number of C919 pilots of China Eastern Airlines has exceeded 60, the number of C919 flight attendants has reached 8 batches and nearly 170, and more than 60 C919 mechanics and 40 dispatchers have been trained, and 14,000 people have completed the ground service guarantee training of this model.
