New Mercedes-Benz GLC Plug-in Hybrid Model Completes Application with Ministry of Industry and Information Technology

TapTechNews May 12 news, the new Mercedes-Benz GLC model has just been launched recently, with four models launched, with a price range of 45.35 to 48.35 million yuan (approximately 7.1 to 7.6 million US dollars). Now, the plug-in hybrid version of the car (GLC 350eL) has also completed its application with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, one step closer to its launch.

From the appearance point of view, the new Mercedes-Benz GLC plug-in hybrid version is not much different from the gasoline version, both equipped with a dot-matrix grille and split-type headlights, and a dual-sided dual exhaust layout at the rear, optional, headlights, charging port, star emblem, exterior mirrors, door handles, etc.

In terms of body size, the new car has dimensions of 4826/1938/1696mm in length, width, and height respectively, with a wheelbase of 2977mm and a curb weight of 2420kg.

In terms of power, the application model is equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged four-cylinder engine + electric motor to form a plug-in hybrid system, with the engine having a maximum power of 150kW. The battery type is lithium iron phosphate, provided by Qinghai Fudi Battery Co., Ltd.

As a reference, the Mercedes-Benz GLC gasoline model is equipped with a 12.3-inch LCD instrument panel and an 11.9-inch central control screen, as well as a flat-bottom steering wheel, round air vents, and the second-generation MBUX intelligent human-machine interaction system, it is expected that the plug-in hybrid version will not have too many changes.
