TapTechNews summarizes as follows:

Case One

Student Huang, who just turned 18 a few months ago, wanted to quickly upgrade his game rank. After searching online, he found the so-called game booster, who promised to help him improve his rank but required the password of his game account for login. Unexpectedly, after logging in, the person changed the account's real name to an unknown minor and extorted money.

Case Two

Student Wang, 21 years old, accidentally saw a post saying, Now I'm working and have no time to play the game. The account can be borrowed for everyone to play. After clicking the link to enter My Family, he controlled the account through the function of parents managing the child's game time and demanded $45 (300 RMB) to remove the anti-addiction.

Case Three

Student Zhang is already an adult, but the real name at that time was not his own, and face recognition was required for modification. The scammer seemed very professional and mentioned various possible situations of face recognition. In the process of the user giving money repeatedly, new problems always emerged.

In response, Tencent officially stated:

Your own account is only for your own use. Do not disclose the account password to others.

Do not click on strange links or scan the QR codes sent by strangers or net friends.

Modifying the real-name authentication information of the health system must be through the official channel.
