TapTechNews October 3rd news, according to Yonhap News Agency, based on the sales performance released by South Korea's five major vehicle manufacturers on the 2nd, the global sales of Korean-made cars in September (including complete knockdown assembly) decreased by 3.8% year-on-year to 672,655 units.
The global sales of the five major automakers have decreased year-on-year for five consecutive months. In September, the local sales in (South Korea) decreased by 1% year-on-year to 105,577 units; the overseas sales decreased by 4.3% year-on-year to 567,078 units.

Hyundai Motor sold a total of 343,824 units, a decrease of 3.7% year-on-year.
Kia sold a total of 249,842 units, a decrease of 4.5% year-on-year.
GM Korea sold a total of 62,727 units, an increase of 1.2% year-on-year.
Renault Korea sold 8,625 units, a decrease of 5.3% year-on-year.
KGM (formerly SsangYong Motor) sold a total of 7,637 units, a decrease of 20.3% year-on-year.
The best-selling models in September in South Korea were Kia Sorento (6,628 units), Hyundai Grandeur (6,120 units), Hyundai Santa Fe (5,314 units), Kia Carnival (4,900 units), and Hyundai Sonata (4,890 units).
