The school will recruit the first batch of undergraduate students in Guangdong Province this year, and enroll students in the general category of computer science and technology. All students can choose their majors independently according to their interests one year after enrollment. The available majors include computer science and technology, materials science and engineering, neuroscience, biotechnology, pharmacy, and biomedical engineering.
According to the school authorities, Shenzhen Institute of Technology is a full-time ordinary public institution of higher education with legal person status held by the Shenzhen Municipal People's Government. It is an active attempt to explore the construction of a new research university with a high starting point, high level, high standard and high quality.
In terms of the teaching staff, after nearly 6 years of preparation, the school has gathered a high-level teaching staff mainly composed of high-level talents from overseas, including 14 academicians at home and abroad and 88 national-level talents.
