Apple Releases iOS 17.6 Public Beta 1 Update_0

Apple usually runs two separate test cycles every summer, one for the major new iOS update that is launched in the fall, and the other is usually the last revision of the previous year's update, and this year is the same.

iPhone users can currently choose one of the iOS 18 and iOS 17.6 developer test versions, and only one can be run at the same time, so most beta users might choose iOS 18.

TapTechNews consults public information, and Apple has not announced the new features of the iOS 17.6 system, but has only fixed the following minor bugs:

Fixes that certain Bluetooth headphones may not be able to be used as an audio output path in some AVAudioSession configurations.

Fixes incorrect values of videoRotationAngleForHorizonLevelCapture and videoRotationAngleForHorizonLevelPreview returned by AVCaptureDeviceRotationCoordinator when using the front camera on iPad Air (6th generation) and iPad Pro (7th generation).

The last important version of iOS 17, that is, the 17.5 version last month, introduced new Pride wallpaper, Quartiles game for News+ users, offline Apple News content, and opening application network distribution for the EU market, etc.

How to upgrade iOS/iPadOS/watchOS/macOS development version and public beta version?

To upgrade the iOS/iPadOS 17 developer preview version and public beta version, you can refer to the experience shared by family and friends: Experience post one || Experience post two || Experience post three || Experience post four.

Starting from iOS/ iPadOS 16.4 developer preview version Beta 1, it is necessary to register for the Apple Developer Program. After registration, open the system [Settings] [Software Update] to see the upgrade option. It should be noted that your iPhone or iPad must be logged in with the same Apple ID used when registering for the Apple Developer Program to see the upgrade option in the settings.

In future iOS and iPadOS versions, this new setting will be the way to enable the developer preview version and public beta version, and the configuration profile will no longer grant access.
