At present, the media score of this game has been unlocked. The user score on the Metacritic platform is 5.3 points, and IGN gave this game a 7-point evaluation, believing that this work continues Ubisoft's tradition of canned games.

This is an arcade-style arena shooting game that combines elements of multiple Ubisoft series, but it is difficult to really stand out. Players can feel the shadow of works such as Call of Duty and Overwatch in the game. Obviously, XDefiant is pursuing the same success with the same down-to-earth design.

The shooting mechanism of the game is better, and different weapons have different feels. Users can fully utilize the gun and professional characteristics to obtain different competitive experiences. Even if the user dies, they will not feel frustrated because the player can return to the game in a few seconds.

XDefiant is a free game, so this work naturally makes a profit through in-app purchases. The price of in-game purchase items is close to that of Fortnite and Call of Duty, and most products cost around $8-10 (TapTechNews note: currently about 58-73 RMB).

But overall, although this work has a relatively excellent foundation, this game is essentially Ubisoft's version of Call of Duty or Overwatch, basically a canned game that has everything that should be there, but has no characteristics, and the game concept is somewhat contradictory. All these problems make it difficult for this work to stand out among a number of competing products. I hope this work has time to open up its own niche market.
