In the pre-release video announced by Huawei officials, the Huawei 5GA network logo has appeared at the 19th second of the video, which also means that Huawei phones (the Pura 70 series appears in the video) are currently ready for the new generation of 5G networks.

TapTechNews note: 5G-A is fully known as 5G-Advanced, also known as 5.5G. It is the technological evolution of 5G and has technical characteristics such as higher data rate, larger connection, lower latency, integrated sensing, integrated intelligent computing, and integrated air-space-ground, which will greatly enrich personal and industrial applications.

5G-A is the evolving technology from 5G to 6G, with more excellent network performance than 5G. The theoretical peak rate can reach 10G. It has millisecond-level latency and centimeter-level positioning accuracy. At the same time, technologies such as integrated sensing and artificial intelligence are introduced to better match applications such as the Internet of Vehicles, high-end manufacturing, and all-scenario perception.

In March this year, China Mobile announced that it would take the lead in promoting the commercial deployment of 5G-A in 100 cities (the list is as follows) and would expand to 300 cities within the year.

Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Dongguan, Chengdu, Ningbo, Jinhua, Zhengzhou, Wenzhou, Nanjing, Wuxi, Kunming, Xi'an, Qingdao, Changsha, Foshan, Nantong, Wuhan, Jinan, Fuzhou, Xuzhou, Taizhou, Quanzhou, Jiaxing, Linyi, Huizhou, Changzhou, Hefei, Shenyang, Nanning, Guiyang, Harbin, Nanchang, Xiamen, Dalian, Shijiazhuang, Taiyuan, Urumqi, Haikou, Changchun, Lanzhou, Hohhot, Yinchuan, Xining, Lhasa, Shaoxing, Zhanjiang, Weifang, Yancheng, Zhongshan, Ganzhou, Shantou, Baoding, Nanyang, Jiangmen, Suqian, Zunyi, Luoyang, Jining, Zhoukou, Heze, Huzhou, Qujing, Taizhou, Yantai, Maoming, Langfang, Jieyang, Shangrao, Honghe, Bijie, Zhuhai, Fuyang, Zhaotong, Yangzhou, Lianyungang, Shangqiu, Huaian, Yichun, Xinxiang, Xinyang, Zhangzhou, Meizhou, Zhumadian, Qingyuan, Tangshan, Zhaoqing, Handan, Zhenjiang, Wenshan, Liaocheng, Guilin, Jiujiang, Xiangyang, Ji'an

China Telecom has also announced the use of 5G-A technology to create low-altitude dedicated networks in several city-levels such as Nanjing, Xi'an, Shenzhen, and Guangzhou, empowering the low-altitude economy industry.

China Unicom has built a product system covering the entire industry chain of 5G-A integrated sensing and passive IoT technologies and is actively conducting pilot verifications.
