Microsoft Edge 126 Update New Feature in InPrivate Browsing Mode

TapTechNews on June 15, Microsoft released the stable version update of Microsoft Edge 126 on June 13, introducing features such as an AI theme generator. However, one notable new feature is that the media control window no longer shows the video title or website name in InPrivate Browsing mode.

After Edge browser users enter the InPrivate Browsing mode, the title of the media control pop-up window will show Microsoft Edge, and below it will show A certain website is playing media, in addition to the Previous, pause/play, and next controls.

Google Chrome browser also started testing a similar feature a few months ago. However, when playing media in Chrome's incognito mode, the media control pop-up window will show Unknown application, while the Edge browser will show Microsoft Edge.
