In July 2024, China's Cyberspace Administration Received a Large Number of Reports on Illegal and Bad Information

TapTechNews August 5th news, the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China announced data this morning. In July 2024, the Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China guided the national-level network information reporting work departments at all levels and major website platforms to accept netizens' reports of illegal and bad information such as pornographic, gambling, infringement, and rumors 19.041 million pieces, a decrease of 4.4% month-on-month and an increase of 7.1% year-on-year.

The Reporting Center of the Cyberspace Administration of China accepted 425,000 reports, a decrease of 9.4% month-on-month and an increase of 3% year-on-year;

Local network information reporting work departments accepted 1.03 million reports, a decrease of 19.1% month-on-month and an increase of 49.7% year-on-year;

The national major website platforms accepted 17.587 million reports, a decrease of 3.3% month-on-month and an increase of 5.5% year-on-year.
