Tianfu EMU Depot is located in Tianfu New Area, Chengdu City, Sichuan Province,(approximate 697 square miles in area), and it is the largest EMU depot in southwestern China.

The Tianfu EMU Depot is planned according to the east and west yards. The east yard put into use this time covers an area of about 678 acres and consists of three yards: the first storage yard, the second storage yard and the maintenance depot. The total building area is 95,800 square meters, and there are 12 maintenance lines, which can maintain 24 standard EMU train sets simultaneously, and can undertake the maintenance task of 90 standard EMU train sets per day at most.

In the maintenance depot, an intelligent ventilation and temperature control system integrating temperature sensing, rain sensing and wind control has been upgraded and installed, which not only reduces energy consumption but also improves the comfort of the working environment for maintenance personnel, and also brings a brand new experience of smarter, more coordinated, greener and more efficient for the physical examination of EMUs.
