Xianyu Changes Communication Quota Limit for Used Car Whole Vehicle Category

TapTechNews August 12th news, on July 22nd, Xianyu changed the Xianyu Community Used Car Whole Vehicle Category Communication Quota Limit Instructions, regulating the sellers of the used car whole vehicle category and the buyer users who have private chat communication about the whole vehicle category information.

The notice shows: Each individual user can initiate private chat communication with a maximum of 100 sellers who post used car whole vehicle information in each calendar year. When the user's communication limit reaches the limited quantity in a single cycle, they cannot initiate private chat communication with more sellers for the whole category of used cars; the communication quota situation will be re-counted at the beginning of the next calendar year (note: Users can obtain more communication quotas by purchasing relevant membership rights). The rule took effect for the first time on July 22nd, 2024.

Xianyu officials said that as the users' used car whole vehicle information exchanges are active, some buyers have improper behaviors such as frequently harassing sellers and suspected of collecting the sellers' personal information and reselling it, triggering a large number of user complaints. In order to better meet the needs of the vast majority of users, comprehensively improve the user experience of both buyers and sellers, and promote the fair, healthy and orderly development of the platform ecosystem, this rule is specially set.

TapTechNews noted that according to the screenshots shared by many netizens, The price of communication opportunities is $50 for 10 communication opportunities, $90 for 20 communication opportunities, and $120 for 30 communication opportunities. Xianyu official customer service reminds: Chatting with the same seller multiple times will only deduct one communication opportunity.
