GOIP Equipment A Set of High-Tech Tools for Telecom Fraud Discovered by Youyi Pass Customs

After opening the box for inspection, it was found that the passenger was carrying a set of GOIP equipment.

It is introduced that this set of GOIP equipment contains 20 mobile phones without SIM cards inserted, and this equipment can support multiple mobile phone cards to operate simultaneously and has functions such as remote control and virtual dialing.

TapTechNews learned through inquiry that GOIP equipment is a virtual dialing equipment that can convert traditional telephone signals into network signals, and it is a series of GSM gateways for establishing a direct connection between the GSM (Global System for Mobile Communications) network and VoIP (Voice over IP). This equipment can carry a large number of GSM mobile phone SIM cards simultaneously, and realize functions such as phone call, SMS mass sending, remote control, and man-machine separation through the network.

The customs reminds that according to Article 14 of the Anti-Telecommunication Network Fraud Law of the People's Republic of China: No unit or individual may illegally manufacture, trade, provide or use the following equipment and software:

Batch insertion equipment for telephone cards;

Equipment and software with functions such as changing the calling number, virtual dialing, and illegal access to the public telecommunication network through Internet telephony;

Batch account and network address automatic switching systems, and platforms for batch receiving and providing SMS verification and voice verification;

Other equipment and software used to implement telecommunications network fraud and other illegal and criminal acts.
