According to the official introduction, the High-resolution Neutron Diffractometer is the first ultra-high-resolution neutron powder diffractometer in China with international advanced ultra-high-resolution capabilities.

TapTechNews learned from the official that the High-resolution Neutron Diffractometer was jointly built by the Spallation Neutron Source Science Center and the Shenzhen Graduate School of Peking University. It is the first ultra-high-resolution neutron powder diffractometer in China and also the seventh successfully emitted beam cooperative spectrometer of CSNS, with international advanced ultra-high-resolution capabilities.

The official pointed out that the High-resolution Neutron Diffractometer will provide a research platform that breaks through the traditional structural analysis limit for basic research and applied research, and provide strong support for the R & D in new materials, new energy, biomedicine, electronic information and other fields.

The High-pressure Neutron Diffractometer is the first domestic time-of-flight high-pressure dedicated spectrometer and also the second large cavity press neutron spectrometer in the world. It was jointly built by the Spallation Neutron Source Science Center and the Southern University of Science and Technology.

The High-pressure Neutron Diffractometer has a variety of functions such as diffraction and imaging, and has important applications in many fields such as condensed matter physics, chemistry, new energy, materials science, geology and high-pressure science and technology. It can be combined with rich extreme conditions such as high pressure, high and low temperature, and magnetic field to study the structure and physical properties of substances under different service conditions, providing strong support for the basic science and frontier cross-research and key technologies that need to be solved urgently in China.
