Dongfeng Lantu's New All-Electric SUV 'Zhiyin' Co-developed with Huawei Declaration Images Exposed, Set to Release Later this Year

TapTechNews reports on May 11th that Lantu Auto, the high-end new energy brand under Dongfeng Group, has had yet another all-electric SUV approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The model, named 'Lantu Zhiyin', offers at least six different versions featuring single or dual battery configurations and various battery types, including different chemical compositions.

According to current information, this all-electric SUV is developed in collaboration with Huawei, featuring Huawei’s smart cockpit and intelligent driving systems, as detailed in previous reports by TapTechNews.

The new vehicle showcases a modern design language, retaining the signature full-width light band at the front while adopting the popular floating roof design and offering optional smoked treatment for the grille and air vents.

Dimensions for the new vehicle are 4725/1900/1636 (1653) mm with a wheelbase of 2900 mm, placing it as a mid-size all-electric SUV.

Moreover, the new model is equipped with sporty 20-inch wheels. The rear end design is consistent with family aesthetics, featuring an identifiable full-width tail light group. The dynamic roof spoiler along with the rear diffuser further enhances its sporty appearance.

In terms of power, the declaration shows that the new model features a maximum power output of 215/230 kW with a single motor using CATL ternary lithium or LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) batteries, or a dual motor configuration generating 160/160kW using multiple manufacturers' LFP batteries.
