The Long-Long High-Speed Railway starts from Longyan Station in Longyan City, Fujian Province, and ends at Longchuan West Station in Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. The total length of the line is 290 kilometers, and it is constructed in three sections: from Longyan to Wuping, from Wuping to Meizhou, and from Meizhou to Longchuan. Among them, the Longyan-Wuping section has been opened for operation on December 26, 2023, and the Wuping-Meizhou section is under construction.

The newly built Meizhou-Longchuan Railway is located in Meizhou City and Heyuan City, Guangdong Province. It starts from Meizhou West Station of the Meizhou-Shantou Passenger Dedicated Line, passes through Meixian District, Xingning City, Wuhua County, and Longchuan County, and finally ends at Longchuan West Station of the Ganzhou-Shenzhen Railway (excluding), roughly running from east to west. It is a double-track high-speed railway with a bridge-tunnel ratio of 82.72%.

The main line of the Long-Long High-Speed Railway Meilong Section is 93.982 kilometers long, and there are 4 stations in total, and the new Xingning South Station and Wuhua Station are built. In the Longchuan area, the up and down connecting lines with the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway are built simultaneously, with a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour.

The China State Railway Group pointed out that after the completion and opening of the Long-Long High-Speed Railway Meilong Section, the maximum speed will operate at 350 kilometers per hour. The railway department will arrange the operation of passenger trains according to the daily line and peak line, and the daily operation of the highest number of EMU trains can reach 62 trains.

Among them, 60 EMU trains will be operated between Meizhou West Station and Longchuan West Station, and it can be reached in the fastest 29 minutes, which is 1 hour and 14 minutes shorter than the previous regular-speed passenger train running through Zhangping-Longchuan Railway; through the Long-Long High-Speed Railway Meilong Section and the Ganzhou-Shenzhen High-Spee d Railway, 30 EMU trains and 26 EMU trains will be operated between Meizhou West Station and Guangzhou East Station and Shenzhen North Station respectively, and the fastest can be reached in 1 hour and 47 minutes and 1 hour and 36 minutes respectively, which is 2 hours and 05 minutes and 1 hour and 02 minutes shorter than the previous EMU trains running through the Meizhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway, the Guangzhou-Shantou High-Speed Railway, and the Hangzhou-Shenzhen High-Speed Railway respectively. The travel time between the revolutionary old areas such as Meizhou and Longchuan in eastern Guangdong and various cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has been significantly reduced.
