Douyin E-commerce Launches Merchant's Price-breaking Risk Warning Tool

TapTechNews August 7th news, Douyin E-commerce announced the launch of a merchant's price-breaking risk early warning tool. Currently, it is automatically launched for promotional event goods, value-buy goods, and flash sale goods (TapTechNews note: merchants do not need to configure), and will be gradually opened to all event goods in the future.

According to the introduction, during the platform event registration process, there may be a situation where store discounts are superimposed, or the wrong price is reported for the activity, resulting in the actual selling price of the goods being lower than the merchant's expectation, causing the merchant to be fleeced and suffering asset losses.

After the price risk early warning tool is launched, continuous risk verification will be carried out during the registration process and the event period. When the price of the goods triggers any one of the following conditions, it will trigger a price risk early warning and flow to the abnormal registration state, temporarily canceling the event qualification , and it needs to be confirmed by the merchant for the price information a second time before it takes effect:

0-yuan risk goods: goods hit when the default received price is 0.01 US dollars.

Risk discount goods: goods whose sku estimated inclusive received price is less than or equal to 20% of the activity verification price or 10% of the original price.
