Perfect World Announces Moral Compliance, Discloses Employee Violations and Company Updates

The announcement stated that honesty and law-abiding are the values that Perfect World has always adhered to, and the company has always adopted a zero tolerance attitude towards corruption and fraud. In order to implement this value and requirement, Perfect World has formulated and established a sound risk management system to prevent, discover and combat all acts of corruption and fraud.

For illegal and criminal violations, Perfect World will definitely cooperate with the public security and judicial organs in fact-finding, arresting the persons involved, and seriously investigating their legal responsibilities.

Since 2023, some employees have used their positions to engage in illegal acts such as commercial bribery and job occupation, which seriously violated the company's rules and regulations such as the Employee Handbook and Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. The company decided to dismiss the relevant personnel and never hire them again. The relevant case announcements are as follows:

1. Tian X, senior art director of XX studio: During his tenure, he illegally accepted high bribes from suppliers, and his behavior has been suspected of a crime and has been placed on file for investigation by the public security organ.

2. Wang XX, producer of XX game project team: As a team manager, not only failed to fulfill the management responsibilities, but also colluded with subordinates to illegally embezzle a huge amount of company funds, and was also investigated and dealt with by the public security organ due to suspected crimes.

3. Li X, 2D lead artist of XX game project team: He illegally embezzled company funds by taking advantage of his position and colluded with his immediate superior to commit the crime. At present, this employee has been legally dealt with by the public security organ.

4. Zhang XX, 3D lead artist of XX game project team: He was criminally detained by the public security organ in April 2023 for demanding and accepting high bribes from suppliers. After the trial by the court, this employee was convicted of the crime of accepting bribes by non-state personnel and was sentenced to one year and six months in prison and a fine of 100,000 yuan, and all his illegal income has been turned over to the state treasury.

Perfect World released an announcement on July 9th that the company expects a net loss of 160 million yuan - 200 million yuan in the first half of 2024, turning from profit to loss year-on-year.
