Beijing Issues New Automobile Trade-in Subsidy Rules in 2024

TapTechNews May 31, according to CCTV News, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Commerce and other 8 departments jointly issued (hereinafter referred to as ) today. Consumers can get a maximum subsidy of up to $1,500 through scrapping old cars and purchasing different types of passenger cars.

The clearly defined the subsidy scope of trade-in for vehicles of China's National III and below standards. TapTechNews summarizes as follows:

Including gasoline passenger cars registered before (including the day) June 30, 2011;

Diesel passenger cars and other fuel-type passenger cars registered before (including the day) June 30, 2013;

New energy passenger cars registered before (including the day) April 30, 2018.

This subsidy is for individual consumers, and at the same time, consumers should complete the scrapping of old cars and obtain , , , and before December 31, 2024.

In terms of subsidy amount, there are two subsidy standards for scrapping and purchasing passenger cars, and the subsidy funds will be transferred to the bank accounts of consumers who meet the subsidy conditions.

If scrapping a fuel passenger car of National III and below emissions standards or a new energy passenger car registered before (including the day) April 30, 2018, and purchasing a new energy passenger car included in the of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a subsidy of $1,500 can be obtained;

If scrapping a fuel passenger car of National III and below emissions standards and purchasing a new fuel passenger car with a displacement of 2.0 liters or less, a subsidy of $1,000 can be obtained.
