Haima Hydrogen Energy Vehicle's Demonstration Operation and Future Plans

TapTechNews June 27th news, in March this year, Haima Automobile launched a hydrogen energy vehicle demonstration operation project. Up to now, the cumulative driving mileage of the Haima hydrogen fuel cell vehicle 7X-H in the demonstration operation has exceeded 4,000 miles (per unit), fulfilling the mileage accounting requirements of the first stage of the fuel cell vehicle demonstration application project in Hainan Province.

In the first stage of the demonstration operation, Haima 7X-H completed the pick-up and drop-off tasks for the 2024 Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference and the China International Consumer Goods Expo, and also cooperated with the Didi Chuxing platform to enter the online car-hailing market.

Next, Haima Automobile will soon start the next stage of the demonstration operation work. The demonstration operation team will seek cooperation with leading rental companies to enter the car rental market, and expand the travel range to cities and counties such as Danzhou, Wanning, and Qionghai.

TapTechNews inquiry learned that Haima 7X-H is the first hydrogen fuel cell vehicle product jointly developed by Haima Automobile and Toyota Motor, equipped with the Toyota stack system and 70 MPa high-pressure hydrogen storage tank. Haima 7X-H is said to be able to fully refill hydrogen in only 3 to 5 minutes, and the range can reach 500 miles, with a hydrogen consumption per 100 miles as low as 0.87 kg, and can be used normally in a minus 30℃ cold environment, and the stack service life reaches 30,000 hours.

Haima Automobile's total sales volume in May 2024 was 980 units, a year-on-year decrease of 50.70%; the cumulative sales volume in 2024 was 3,484 units, a year-on-year decrease of 78.43%. The production volume of SUVs in May was 1,210 units, a year-on-year decrease of 36.98%; the sales volume of SUVs in May was 964 units, a year-on-year decrease of 49.90%.
