Chinese Police Captured 307 Telecom Fraud Suspects in Myanmar Cooperation

The Criminal Investigation Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security disclosed that since last year, in order to firmly curb the frequent and high incidence of telecommunications network fraud crimes involving me in northern Myanmar, the Ministry of Public Security has continuously deepened the international policing law enforcement cooperation with the Myanmar law enforcement departments and jointly carried out a series of crackdown actions, a total of more than 50,000 Chinese criminal suspects involved in fraud have been transferred to our side, and the situation of telecommunications network fraud crimes involving me in northern Myanmar has continued to improve.
In order to completely eliminate telecommunications network fraud crimes in northern Myanmar, recently, under the command and deployment of the Ministry of Public Security, the public security organs of Yunnan Province and the relevant local law enforcement departments in Myanmar carried out border policing law enforcement cooperation, and successfully captured 307 Chinese criminal suspects who carried out cross-border telecommunications network fraud in the Wa State area of northern Myanmar, including 20 online fugitives, and seized a large number of mobile phones, computers and other criminal tools.
After investigation, this group hid in the Wa State, by building a virtual currency online investment platform and inducing the victim to implement fraud in the way of buying low and selling high virtual currency on the platform. At present, all the criminal suspects and the involved evidence items have been successfully transferred to our side through the Menglian Port in Menglian County, Yunnan Province, and at the same time, the public security organs of Yunnan Province have carried out simultaneous arrests of 9 domestic accomplice criminal suspects, and the case investigation work is in intense progress.
The relevant person in charge of the Ministry of Public Security said that at present, the situation of telecommunications network fraud crimes involving me in northern Myanmar has been effectively contained, but there are still some telecommunications network fraud criminals who are侥幸 and resisting stubbornly, and the public security organs will further strengthen the international and border policing law enforcement cooperation, continuously increase the crackdown intensity, continue to organize special crackdown actions, completely clear out the fraud dens, and legally arrest the fraud personnel, resolutely and completely eradicate the cancer of telecommunications network fraud crimes involving me in northern Myanmar, and effectively safeguard the property safety and legitimate rights and interests of the people.
