TapTechNews noticed that since then, Meituan UAV's airdrop service has covered the four major first-tier cities of Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Shenzhen, and this is also the first time that regular UAV delivery service has been opened in Beijing.

According to the official introduction of Meituan, the landing point of Beijing's first UAV delivery route is located at the South Ninth City Tower on the extended line of the south side of the Badaling Great Wall, and this area was opened to the public at the end of 2023.

In order to maintain the original style and features of the area as much as possible, there are no commercial facilities here, but this also makes tourists visiting here need to walk for at least nearly half an hour when replenishing drinking water and other materials. And Meituan UAV departs from the foot of the Badaling Great Wall and can fly over nine beacon towers in 5 minutes and arrive at the South Ninth Tower of Badaling.

On the premise of meeting the carrying requirements, the UAV can help tourists near the landing point buy and deliver urgently needed heatstroke prevention and cooling materials such as sunscreen umbrellas and cooling stickers; a Meituan emergency medicine box has also been added at the takeoff point to provide first aid materials such as disinfectant, light salt water, and anti-dizzy medicine for tourists in need; in addition, after the end of the daily operation time, the UAV will assist the scenic area operation and maintenance personnel to transport the nearby waste to the designated recycling location.
