The former employee said that the working hours of Xiaohongshu are very long, starting work at 10 a.m. and leaving work at 10 p.m., with alternating large and small weeks, and the working intensity is no less than that of ByteDance. The atmosphere is hectic, and the overtime culture is serious, and people are often required to work overtime to complete urgent tasks or requirement changes.

Many former employees disclosed to this column that Xiaohongshu has been implementing a review culture from top to bottom, with the purpose of precipitating the methodology and obtaining reusable business thinking after repeatedly deducing the timelines of tasks, At this time, your experience is basically exhausted, and people are not so valuable, and there will be younger and cheaper people to replace you at any time.

At the beginning of 2023, the daily active users of Xiaohongshu exceeded 100 million. Xiaohongshu set the goal of reaching 140 million daily active users in 2023. After a year of efforts, this goal has still not been achieved.

The senior management is not satisfied with the growth rate and commercial monetization of Xiaohongshu, and frequently conducts organizational structure adjustments and senior management rotations.
