The ROG hand-held console X has doubled the battery capacity from the previous generation's 40Wh to 80Wh compared to the first-generation hand-held console; the original hard drive capacity has been upgraded from 512GB to 1TB, and the hard drive slot has been changed from M.2 2230 to 2280; the memory has been upgraded to 24GB LPDDR5X-7500 memory.

The XGMobile graphics card expansion dock interface on the top of the hand-held console has been replaced by two Type-C interfaces, one of which supports USB4 and the other is of the USB3.2 Gen2 specification, and both support PD3.0 charging and DP1.4 display output functions.

In terms of heat dissipation, the ASUS ROG hand-held console X adopts the upgraded 'zero gravity heat dissipation system', providing a 9-30W heat dissipation capacity, and the air volume increases while the fan size is reduced.
