Changan Qiyuan E07 The First Transformable Car Based on SDA Platform Debuts

According to the official, Qiyuan E07 is expected to start at around $43,000 (300,000 Chinese yuan) and will be listed within the year.

It is introduced that Changan Qiyuan E07 can transform into different forms in different usage scenarios: it can transform into an SUV form when traveling, a sports car form when commuting, and a pickup truck form when loading.

According to the official, Changan's digital intelligent factory is only responsible for producing Changan's high-end luxury models, including the high-end sequence E series of Changan Qiyuan, the current highest-end model of Changan brand, Changan Qiyuan E07, and the new products to be released by Avita soon.

Changan Automobile Digital Intelligent Factory is a全域 5G digital intelligent AI flexible super factory jointly built with enterprises such as Huawei and Unicom, and adopts a modern and digital production line with efficient coordination. Currently, the factory can roll off a digital intelligent new car every minute.

The length of Changan Qiyuan E07 is 5045mm, the width is 1996mm, the height is 1640/1665/1695mm, and the wheelbase is 3120mm, and the curb weight reaches 2.4 tons. TapTechNews noticed that it adopts a new-generation safe body design, and the usage ratio of high-strength steel and aluminum alloy exceeds 90%, and even the front cover plate of the lower body all adopts all-aluminum alloy materials.

In the interior, Qiyuan E07 adopts a 15.4-inch sunflower screen and a 16:9 high-definition entertainment screen for the co-pilot, and is equipped with a high-definition AR-HUD system that prevents glare and reflection; it is equipped with a new-generation OS operating system; it is equipped with an intelligent audio system with 18 speakers (with independent power amplifier), 256-color soft light ambient lights, and a continuously adjustable mixed fragrance system; the front row has dual zero-gravity seats with multiple electric adjustment functions; the cabin doors are also equipped with a silent electric suction system.

In terms of intelligent driving, Changan Qiyuan E07 is standardly equipped with 11 cameras, 5 millimeter-wave radars, 12 ultrasonic radars, and 2 lidar. It is the first to carry the high-level intelligent driving assistance system independently developed by Changan. When parking, it can automatically recognize the parking space and choose an empty space to park by itself. The driving process is fast and stable, and later it will also provide valet parking and highway piloting functions. In addition, the central ring network architecture can provide higher control safety redundancy to ensure the stability and reliability of the system.

In terms of safety, Qiyuan E0 7 is standardly equipped with 9 airbags, including the distal airbag and independent rear airbag that are usually only seen in high-end luxury models of the 500,000-level, and the safety protection design is far higher than the 2024 version of the C-NCAP five-star safety standard.

In terms of power, Qiyuan E07 is driven by a dual-motor four-wheel drive system, with a peak power of 440kW and a peak torque of 645Nm. The 100-meter acceleration is in the 4-second range. It supports 800V high-voltage fast charging and CTV battery technology, and is also equipped with a suspension system of the front double wishbone and rear H-arm structure made of all-aluminum alloy and an R-EPS steering system, combined with a CDC electromagnetic damping system and an air spring.
