Apple also said that it can do some things, such as citing an application to carry out operations in another application, such as letting AppleIntelligence play the podcast your girlfriend sent you.

Siri becomes more intelligent

Apple said that in iOS18, users will be able to have a more natural conversation with Siri. The new Siri can understand the context, so you don't have to repeat information in subsequent requests.

AppIntents allows Siri to work deeply with first-party and third-party applications, sense what you're currently looking at on the screen, and be able to take in-app actions. Apple demonstrated having the Photos app edit the picture you're currently looking at, and Siri would carry out the adjustments on your behalf.

Privacy

The company said its artificial intelligence functions will be processed on the device to ensure the privacy of information. However, you need an A17Pro or M-series chip to take advantage of these functions. In addition,'semantic index' is also part of it, which will obtain personal information when needed and display it in various applications.

For the AI functions that need to call the cloud, Apple said it will use a 'private cloud', and the data will never be stored on the server, and Apple also said it will never be able to access this data. The company said it will invite independent experts to verify whether Apple's claim is true.

Hardware limitations

TapTechNews note: There are hardware limitations to AppleIntelligence. Currently, only the iPhone 15Pro and iPhone 15ProMax can use it on the iPhone side.
