SF Airlines Opens New Route from Urumqi to Budapest
TapTechNews August 8th news, today, a B767-300 all-cargo aircraft of SF Airlines fully loaded with goods took off from Xinjiang Urumqi Diwopu International Airport and headed to Budapest, the capital of Hungary, marking the official opening and operation of the Urumqi = Budapest international all-cargo aircraft route, which is the first cargo route from Xinjiang to Europe opened by SF Airlines.
According to the introduction, the Urumqi = Budapest route is operated by a wide-body all-cargo aircraft with a payload of about 50 tons and is planned to operate 1-2 flights per week, mainly serving cross-border e-commerce courier services, the export of Xinjiang characteristic agricultural products, and the import of characteristic products from European countries such as Hungary.
In July this year, SF Group and Xinjiang Trade and Logistics Group achieved their first cooperation in the aviation field and opened the Urumqi = Tbilisi international route. SF Airlines said that in the future, it will continue to promote the construction of the aircraft fleet and network, steadily improve the international air cargo capacity, and through the development of new international routes and the erection of new logistics channels.
As of March this year, the size of the SF Airlines aircraft fleet has increased to 87. The SF official website shows that in 2023, SF Airlines has opened 10 international routes from Ezhou to Liege, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, New York, Abu Dhabi, Chennai, Delhi, Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, and Osaka.
