At that time, it will be connected end to end with the already opened Foshan-Zhaoqing Intercity and Dongguan-Huizhou Intercity, forming a cross-city "subway" that spans across 5 cities including Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, and Huizhou, with a total length of 159.6 miles.
After the opening of the two intercity lines, the mileage of the intercity railways operated by Guangzhou Metro Group will reach 197.6 miles, and taking Panyu Station as the center, to the west is the Guangzhou-Zhaoqing Intercity, and to the east is the Guangzhou-Huizhou Intercity, connecting Guangzhou, Foshan, Zhaoqing, Dongguan, and Huizhou. There are a total of 39 stations in the whole line, among which there are 5 in Guangzhou, 9 in Foshan, 6 in Zhaoqing, 12 in Dongguan, and 7 in Huizhou, and the maximum operating speed of the train is 124.3 miles per hour.
