TapTechNews learned that the Kunlong AG600 is the largest amphibious aircraft under research in the world at present, independently developed by our country. The AG-600 amphibious aircraft adopts a single-hull, cantilever high-wing layout type; four WJ6 engines are selected and a tricycle retractable landing gear is adopted.

When the AG-600 seaplane is performing the forest fire extinguishing task, it can draw water 12,000 kilograms in 20 seconds, and the aircraft can make multiple round trips between the water source and the fire site and drop water to extinguish the fire. When performing the water rescue task, the aircraft has a minimum stable flight altitude of 50 feet (about 15.24 meters) and can park on the water surface to carry out rescue operations, and can rescue up to 50 people in distress at a time.
