The UAV operator of the economic cooperative in Towan Kulaleik Village, Lasikui Town, Hetian City, AbdouKayum Ali introduced that the relevant UAV can hold 84 pounds (about 38 kilograms) of seeds at a time, and 42 pounds (about 19 kilograms) of seeds are sown per mu (about 0.067 hectares), and it can sow about 1 acre (about 0.4 hectares) each takeoff, and with two UAVs operating every day, the daily operation volume is about 175 acres (about 700 mu).

It is known that Hetian is located in the southern part of the Tarim Basin. Thanks to its abundant water resources and unique warm continental arid climate, it is suitable for rice growth. The land resources are very rich, and most of the soils belong to neutral or slightly alkaline, rich in organic matter and trace elements, and the fertility of the relevant land is relatively good for rice growth.

The officials said that this year, Hetian City speeds up the construction of concentrated, high-yield and stable high-standard farmland, and vigorously promotes the wide application of new equipment in the agricultural field, which can effectively improve the efficiency of rice seeding operations.

TapTechNews learned that this year, Hetian Prefecture plans to plant 18,500 acres (about 7.5 mu) of rice. Up to now, 6,450 acres (about 2.62 mu) of the sowing area has been completed, and it is expected to be all sown by the end of May.
