Shanghai Disneyland to Launch New Spider-Man Themed Attraction

TapTechNews August 11th, Shanghai Disney Resort announced today that Shanghai Disneyland will introduce a brand-new Spider-Man themed attraction and become the first large-scale attraction in the park to tell a Marvel story. This fully immersive and thrilling roller coaster experience will bring a new adventure to park guests and Marvel fans.

At the 2024 Disney Global Fan Convention D23Expo, Josh D'Amaro, chairman of Disney Experiences at The Walt Disney Company, revealed the theme of this highly anticipated new attraction in his Looking Ahead: Horizons D23 Disney Experiences Showcase keynote and debuted two renderings of the attraction for the first time.

TapTechNews learned that as the latest expansion project of Shanghai Disney Resort, this new attraction will be adjacent to the newly opened Zootopia themed land in the park, and the preparatory work for its early construction started at the beginning of this year.

In addition, the current expansion project of the resort also includes the third Disney-themed hotel adjacent to the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel. As the development work of these two major expansion projects continues to progress, Shanghai Disney will release more project progress in the future.
