EDG Wins First Annual VCT CN League Championship

TapTechNews July 20th news, at the Valorant Champions Tour CN League Stage 2 - Finals held today, EDG Esports Club won the first annual championship of the VCT CN League with a 3:2 score against FPX, and ZmjjKK Kangkang was awarded the 2024 VCT CN League Annual Finals FMVP!

Since May 21st, 2023, EDG has cumulatively achieved eight consecutive domestic offline championships, including the second act of the Valorant FGC Invitational Tournament, the VCT Champions Tournament CN Qualifiers, the first/second/third acts of the CN Evolvers Tournament, the VCT CN Genesis Tournament, the first stage of the VCT CN League, and the second stage of the VCT CN League championship.

In order to create and support the global esports event of valorant, Riot Games has launched the valorant Champions Tour (VCT), which is a global championship tour based on an annual cycle and consists of leagues and international events around the world. Professional teams can compete in leagues and masters tournaments, aiming to advance to the global championship and compete for the honor of the global champion of valorant.

Since 2024, the CN赛区 has been in parallel with the Americas赛区, the EMEA赛区, and the Pacific赛区, becoming the fourth official league (VCT CN).

As far as TapTechNews knows, after today's game, EDG, FPX, TE Sui, and BLG will represent VCT CN to participate in the 2024 valorant Global Championship! They will embark on the Seoul championship journey on August 1st.
