Amazing! AppleWatch Survives Underwater for 1.5 Years and Still Works
TapTechNews July 13th news, a blogger, JaredBrick, shared a real incident that happened to him on overseas media. He claimed that he himself accidentally dropped an Apple AppleWatch when diving, and after being fished out after a lapse of 1 and a half years, it could still work normally.
TapTechNews learned that JaredBrick bought an AppleWatch watch in June 2022. During a dive, he was so immersed in the underwater scenery that he didn't realize his watch was lost until he surfaced from the dive.
And in December 2023, he received a voicemail from someone in the Caribbean, claiming to have found his AppleWatch. After most of the dirt was cleared and the charger was inserted, the watch automatically powered on, and all functions were operating normally.
Because JaredBrick had previously marked the device as lost using Apple's Find My app, after charging, the watch displayed a message with Brick's phone number, and the finder contacted Brick to return the watch.
Brick admitted that he always fantasized about someone finding the AppleWatch and returning it to him. Although he didn't believe this would really happen, this actually became a reality.
Coincidentally, referring to TapTechNews' report last year, another blogger, AmirNoorani, accidentally dropped the Apple AppleWatchUltra when diving, and it could still work normally after being fished out after 3 months.
